Bradley Salisbury, Headmaster of Dean Close School, gave an interactive talk about the nature of justice and its philosophical principles at the second of this year’s Academic Enrichment Evenings. The tasks ranged from which members of our groups should receive a share of a packet of sweets, to making ethical decisions upon who should be saved in a runaway train accident, to even deciding on a new system for taxation – not something that many of St John’s children had previously considered! It was a brilliant evening and gave everyone present much to think about in terms of their own views of justice and decision making.

Please do join us for our next talk on the 28 November. The topic will again be philosophical, as we consider the works of Plato and Aristotle.
